Project Leaders
This group steers the ship, (wait, there's not enough water for a boat) er...the dune buggy?...giant sand worm? Regardless the vehicle of choice, we combine our expertise in genetics, disease, wildlife movement, and bighorn biology to tackle the pressing issues of bighorn conservation in a rapidly changing world.

Field Crew
We work with a stellar team of field-savvy biologists to collect data on bighorn movement and connectivity. These folks face the challenges of the Mojave Desert with humor and perseverance. I wouldn't want to face a 70 mph dust storm with anyone else!
Genetics Lab
So much of our research relies on the expertise and skill of the OSU Conservation Genetics Lab. They literally turn feces into magic. We wouldn't know much about bighorn sheep connectivity without the behind-the-scenes work done by our amazing lab staff, student workers, and interns.

Additional contributing students include: Svea Bruslind, Irie Cheng, Wally Fiori, Kristin Fratella, Natasha Nemyre, Chris Schmokel
Data Interns |
Our data interns help manage and review trail camera footage to describe wildlife movement along the borders of the Mojave National Preserve. They are dedicated students, recent graduates, and volunteers from across the U.S that have found creative ways to get their careers going during a global pandemic. They are also an inspiring group of people to know and will likely contribute great things to the field of wildlife biology & conservation!
Additional current & former data interns include: Kelsi Rohrbaugh, Bobbi Lynn Hinkle, Joshua Pullen, Emily Rock & Ameyalli Mañon-Ferguson
Volunteers & Visiting Researchers
We've counted ourselves lucky to have the help of multiple volunteers & visiting researchers - their time with us may have been brief but their contributions have been vital to our success
Additional contributing volunteers include: Monte Hammer, Scott Gibson
