Alptuğ SARI
Dr. Alptuğ Sari was born in Erzurum located in the northeastern part of Turkey. His interest in science dates back to his undergraduate years, where he excelled in nature and wildlife courses. One of his primary goals is to pass on wildlife resources to future generations with the least destruction. Dr. Sari completed his doctoral research on the Anatolian leopard, the largest cat species living in Turkey and is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management at Karadeniz Technical University. Dr. Sari came to the U. S. with his family (wife and two daughters) as a visiting scholar at Oregon State University, Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. As a visiting scholar, he had the opportunity to meet many important scientists and to observe their approaches to wildlife. "It was a great pleasure for me to work on this project, even for a short time, and to be a part of this great team."
